Heey awesome build, first I was a little sceptic about because everyone was saying they didn't get any ectos but now I tried it and it's really nice. Only problem I have is that sometimes, even when the smites don't run, they don't die with the full combo. Last run I only had one group that died by the book, the others I had to wand or aftershock. Any suggestions?

maybe you don't wait long enough to let av drain their energy, so they can cast a quick RoF and won't die.

I also find letting av/sv sit there for 7-8 sec for a small group of 3-5 ideal...for larger pulls i just sit there for 4 secs. sometimes you will get a bad spawn and most will run before your aftershock has a chance of catching some of them.

I have to admit, this is an excellent build. I ran the Rt/Me Vengeful build for a while, but I've found that this is a LOT more reliable. I'm also glad I can not only put my ele to good use, but also put Earth magic to good use.

is the 16 attribute points in Earth really necessary for this build? i ask this coz i was thinking of doing the same build but with an Me/E instead.

i didn't even take into account the huge energy base of the ele, maybe that's the necessary part of this build.

I think 16 earth might be needed to get enough damage. Energy base of the ele is not the necessary part of the build; I run my build with only 1 or 2 in energy storage, as stone striker + MoE gives more energy than Balthazar's Spirit + Essence Bond (both give 2 energy on most damage but stone striker + MoE is 4 pips of regen while the other combo is 2 pips of regen).

You can always test it though, just to see what happens.

fast casting is bad for this build just a tip for the me/eles 16fire (head + sup)

I havent tested this build yet ( havent capped savannah) but if the damage is enough it would be more reliable

Approximately 305+119+127=551 damage in 5 seconds
probably not enough damage but mabye the smites are weak to fire ><

16 earth magic is not required whatsoever. I did this on my mesmer rather than an ele and survived with no problems whatsoever. I can post pics on thursday if you need...

I gotta admit, very nice build, Koning and fellow posters of their own version. I have recieved many Ectos, black/white dyes, keys, goldies, etc. with this build, and my Apok Alyptik has never been happier(name of my Ele). Just got 3 ectos in 2 runs, along with several keys.

I could finally afford my Male Ele's Vabbian armor (laugh all you want, I happen to like it) and will keep finding new tricks to beat everything faster. Once again, thank you for giving it away.

one little tip

if the coldfires patrol is stuck on an inconvenient spot, get close and press "c" to target the closer one, then use storm djinns haste and press the key you assigned to earthquake, when you hit them, press "x" (or turn around) and run like hell, in that way when the coldfires get up they will use first ward against harm and when they say "hey, i'm ready to pwn you" you will be far away and they will start to do their patrol route again

FYI: MY last and most recent run - 2 ectos, 1 ruby and a superior vigor from gold armor from chest.

over $50K run in less then 15 mins. (I know i'm slow)

I'm loving this build.2 weeks of farming and i got 90ecto++ from it and few 100k+ nice drops.As far my best run was 4e and 1 sapphire.Thanks for posting.
